NiCE Green Tech:
Delivering the Next Generation of Compact MBR Technology
NiCE Green Tech is proud to announce a
Compact Immersed MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) System
designed for high‑performance wastewater treatment in a small footprint.
This new system, featuring braid‑reinforced hollow‑fiber membrane
technology, brings exceptional durability, stability, and filtration efficiency to advanced treatment applications. With a nominal pore size of 0.05 μm, hydrophilic fluoropolymer coating, and a robust textile support layer, membranes are engineered to minimise fibre breakage, enhance recovery, and maintain long-term performance under real‑world conditions.
Key Features of the New NiCE Green Tech MBR System
-
High‑strength braid‑reinforced hollow fibre membranes with outstanding tensile resistance
-
Precision pore structure for superior particle removal and reliable permeate quality
-
Aeration ball anti‑fouling design to prevent sludge accumulation and maintain smooth operation
-
Dedicated diffuser for each membrane element, enabling targeted air‑scouring and improved cleaning efficiency
-
Compact, corrosion‑resistant PVC tank design, ideal for research, decentralised treatment systems, or pilot applications
-
Smart pH‑based feed control, level sensors, and suction pressure interlocking for automated and stable operation
-
Transparent water‑quality windows for easy visual comparison before/after membrane filtration
A New Standard in Compact Wastewater Treatment
The MBR system provides 1.0 m² total membrane area, a 100 L MBR tank, and an integrated 15 L permeate tank, all configured into a compact 780 × 780 × 1645 mm packaged unit. This makes it suitable for:
-
On‑site nutrient recovery research
-
Pilot‑scale wastewater treatment
-
Small‑scale decentralised treatment solutions
-
Universities, laboratories, and innovative water projects
Driving Innovation in Water Reuse and Circular Economy Solutions
NiCE Green Tech continues to build partnerships that accelerate the development of sustainable water technologies. By combining NiCE’s advanced process design with world‑class membrane engineering, this MBR system delivers a powerful platform for future water reuse, nutrient recovery, and green‑tech applications.

Urval fertiliser
U are valuable,
Urine is valuable
Urval or "U are valuable, Urine is valuable" is a plant fertiliser produced by a process where urine stabilisation and sanitation is achieved using ultrafiltration (UF) based membrane bioreactor (MBR) followed by dewatering processes.
The recovered fertiliser (Urval) from source‐ separated urine tank at the University of Technology Sydney has been utilised on the UTS green walls. UrVal fertiliser was also tested for the growth of vegetables and herbs and results were collected on plant growth, plant health, plant tissue composition and biomass.
