About us

Nutrients in a Circular Economy (NiCE) Hub is a collaborative research initiative where scientists, engineers, government agencies, and industry experts work together to develop, test, and scale innovative technologies for nutrient recovery from waste streams.

One of the key outcomes of this hub is the creation of Nice Green Tech, a startup company founded to commercialize and advance the technologies and approaches developed through NiCE Hub research. While the hub primarily focuses on nutrient recovery from human urine, many of our industry partners are also exploring recovery from a wide range of other waste materials, contributing to a broader circular economy vision.
