About us

The Nutrients in a Circular Economy (NiCE) Research Hub at the University of Technology Sydney is a collaborative research initiative that brings together scientists, engineers, government agencies, and industry partners to develop, test, and scale innovative technologies for nutrient recovery from waste streams.

A key outcome of the NiCE Hub has been the establishment of Nice Green Tech, a startup company that has emerged from the hub to commercialise and advance the technologies and solutions developed through its research. While the hub’s core focus is on nutrient recovery from human urine, Nice Green Tech is positioned to translate these innovations into practical applications, supporting broader industry adoption.
